THIS is what I meant when I complained that my last pic was made of lazy coloring. lol

Anyhoo, these are the other two new-genners from my TMNT fic, depicted as teens themselves.

Donatello is responsible for their creation, having developed a synthetic Ooze for just such a purpose.
This is also why they don't have artsy names.

HYDRUS: aka "Hyde" is a pink-bellied snapper.

His name is derived from a serpentine creature of ancient lore that originally came from the Nile. It's enemy was the crocodile, who would swallow it whole after rolling it around in the mud. The Hydrus, however, would soon after burst through the croc's stomach and escape unscathed.

Hyde is an extremely confident and seemingly fearless turtle, not at all concerned with his unusual coloration. He is always prepared to rescue or protect his family, but seems to have very little regard for his own personal safety...Something which is the cause of many headaches in the Hamato clan.



EPIROTES: aka "Eppi" is a Reeves turtle.

According to Greek myth, Apollo created a walled garden that housed a number of dragons that could tell the future. Each year a maiden was offered to the dragons, if they accepted the coming year would be filled with good fortune, if they rejected her the year would be disastrous.
Apollo gave the task of guarding the hidden garden to the great serpent, Epirotes.

Eppi is very quiet and reserved. He is proficient in both scientific and emotional intelligence, and prefers to observe his surroundings before taking any course of action.



NOTE: Before you ask; Reeves turtles, males in particular, are supposed to have very long tails. I've noticed that snapping turtles also bear this trait. So Eppi has a whip, and Hyde is more muscular.
